Pyaarpatra

Pyaarpatra is a digital platform dedicated to reviving the nostalgia and deliberate pace of traditional letter writing. I designed and engineered this web app from scratch, creating a space that connects people through intentional, heartfelt communication.

Know More

Pyaarpatra is built around intentional communication and emotional design. I worked on designing and engineering this platform to bring the essence of physical letter writing into the digital age.

Launched in 2 weeks. Over 100 signups and 200+ letters sent in 48 hours.

Building this solo project was a rapid exercise in empathy and execution. Starting as a concept inspired by my girlfriend's college project, I took on both design and development, aiming to capture the tactile feel of writing a real letter. Two weeks, rapid iteration directly in the browser, and the results spoke for themselves upon launch proving that people still deeply crave a personal touch.

Problem

By understanding that modern communication has lost its warmth, I helped Pyaarpatra create a space that encourages users to slow down and write with feeling.

In a world dominated by instant messaging and fleeting texts, intentional communication has taken a backseat. Users have plenty of fast options, but very few digital spaces dedicated to meaningful, deep expression. Long-distance couples, people journaling to themselves, and friends needed a platform that felt personal—not just another email client. The challenge was to digitally replicate the slow, deliberate nature of physical letters without making the UI complicated. Furthermore, there was no room for a long, drawn-out process; it had to be designed, engineered, and shipped within a tight two-week window.

Solution

With a clear vision, a focused technical stack, and a two-week timeline, I brought Pyaarpatra to life as an emotionally resonant, market-ready web app.

Pyaarpatra started with a clear mission bring back the lost art of letter writing. My job as the sole design engineer was to make sure the platform felt intimate to the right people. Bypassing lengthy research phases, I adopted a lean approach, using the launch as validation. I focused on mimicking the anatomy of physical mail: handcrafted digital papers, typography that evokes handwriting, and a distraction-free writing canvas. Built using Next.js, React, Convex, and Razorpay, I ensured every piece of the site had a job to do, right down to integrating premium features (like velvet and parchment paper) without breaking the romantic feel of the platform.

Concept

This project was a reminder that digital products don't always have to prioritize speed sometimes, the best user experience comes from helping people slow down.

Pyaarpatra is built on the idea that every word should mean something. This project was about making sure the digital interface reflected the romance of physical stationery. I kept the design honest and focused, stripping away digital clutter so the user focuses entirely on what they want to say. The two-week timeline kept me sharp, and the rapid adoption (200+ letters in 48 hours) proved the hypothesis. The end result is a platform that feels true to what Pyaarpatra is actually about—no fluff, just substance, nostalgia, and genuine connection.
